I get overwhelmed sometimes with how much I should be doing with my baby during the day: tummy time, vitamin D, getting her used to the pram, cot naps, the sling, interacting with her, and watching for wake windows. I often feel like a failure at the end of the day because I only manage a few of these things, on top of the absolute basics like feeding, contact naps, and diaper changes. Not to even mention the house is an absolute mess. How do you manage? Do you have a routine? We're 9 weeks old.

It's really unfair that all the media we look at makes us feel like we need to do everything as mum's. I felt the same with my first
If you only do one of those a day, I bet your baby still feels loved, is developing at the right speed for them, feels secure and is thriving! You're doing great x

Take the pressure off yourself and celebrate each day, and just being with your little baby ❤️ you’ll soon find your routine

This was me with my first! We put unnecessary pressure on us as first time mums and I feel you ❤️ I am sitting here with my second born who is only 2 weeks old and we are just taking each day slowly - we haven’t done any tummy time yet or gone out for a walk - just enjoying lots of cuddles and contact naps ❤️it’s so hard first time round but try to just enjoy the moment if you can. I wish I could say that to myself as a first time mum as I am enjoying the newborn stage soooo much more this time round xx
