Hi all,
I had my thyroid checked in August and levels were 4.69. Out of the normal range and a repeated blood test was ordered.
Did the repeat test last week and my levels are now 3.43, so they’ve come down naturally which I’m pleased about.
However, my fertility clinic have said they won’t start my IVF treatment until my levels are 2.8 (self-funded) so I’ve spoken with my doctor this morning and she said I don’t have an under active thyroid and I’m not currently on medication for it therefore she wouldn’t start me on any medication when my levels are in the normal range.
She is going to speak with my fertility clinic for me but in the mean time I think I’m going to try for a natural route of bringing levels down.
I just wondered if anyone else has been through something similar?
Thanks ☺️

Did you get anywhere with your doctor? NHS guidelines are different to private - it infuriates me! Hope you managed to get it down. I got my doctor to confirm what the levels are required for conception via nhs endocrinology and proved them wrong…
