Sleep 😣

Does anyone else have a baby who doesn’t sleep through the night? I feel like we’ve been in regression mode for all 6 months of his life šŸ˜… I’ll get a few decent days with one wake up in the early morning then back to waking up every 3 hours the next day and that’ll go for a week then maybe one good day..
I’m exhausted and tired of hearing about babies sleeping through the night since newborn days lol
He’s also been waking up around 5:50-6:10 ever since daylight savings when he used to wake up at 8 😭
What am I doing wrong?

My son doesn’t sleep through the night either and always wakes up between 6:30-7:30 no matter what I do.

Some babies are just this way. You are not failing — as long as your baby’s needs are being met, you’re doing everything you’re supposed to.

As for the tiredness, my mom said something to me and it’s been hanging with me since she said it, ā€œyou’re tired because he needs you so much right now… but as someone whose baby no longer needs them, I beg you, don’t wish this away.ā€ šŸ„ŗā¤ļøā€šŸ©¹

I was just talking with another mom here about it šŸ˜….
My 6 month old doesn’t sleep through the night, every time people ask about that and I say he doesn’t sleep through the night they look at me in disbelief ( kind judging too), even his doctor always ask me the same thing.
I already did everything that people said to do or try, it’s really nothing that we can control, my oldest didn’t sleep through the night until he was at least around 15 months old.
As far as waking up time both of my kids wake up around 7 am since they were born, yes it gets worse with daylight savings lol.
Trust me you are not doing anything wrong, being exhausted is extremely comprehensible, everything gets better with time and you are doing amazing 🩷🩷

It’s normal for babies to not sleep through the night- it just SUCKS!

My girl is exclusively breastfed and needs 1-2 feeds a night to keep her weight up and my supply up. And that’s just our reality.

I will say her sleep REALLY improved when we moved her to her own room and she figured out belly sleep.

I hope there is some respite for you. Hang in there 🧔

the judgement is REAL. I feel like I need to defend my baby and my mothering. Even though not sleeping through the night at this age is totally normal….

My son does the same thing. He is six months now. He wakes up at least twice through the night. He falls asleep around 9:30 and wakes up Once at about 1 in the morning and a second time around 4. Then he will fall back asleep until about 8-9 am.
It is exhausting. Can’t wait for full nights sleep too. šŸ™šŸ»People said it’s just through the newborn stage but others tell me there child is one and still doesn’t sleep through the night.
I have noticed taking baths before bed helps him sleep longer. But he stilll wakes up at least once.

he just started sleeping in his own room a week or so ago and naps have improved a lot once he went in there and immediately started sleeping on his belly. (That was a whole new stressor in itself when he started to but naps are better now lol)
He’s also been teething since being in there so I know that isn’t helping the situation ā˜¹ļø

Health Visitor Home Visit

Hii, could anyone explain what the health visitor does on their home visit?

Also if anyone had a home birth, what the midwife home risk assessment involves?

I’ve got 3 home visits coming up in the next two weeks (health visitor, midwives and doula) and it’s making me nervous for some reason. I think having 3 just feels like a lot and a bit invasive if that makes sense!

Did you know this was a thing?

Didn’t know this existed! I’m actually not breastfeeding 2nd time round (though wish I did) after a bad experience with my 1st baby. But this is something I 100% needed 1st time round.

Fighting naps

Does anybody else feel like they spend all day trying to get baby to nap? I get tempted to give up as he must not be that tired but he is too cranky to play or do anything else!

Any experience with different teats?

Hey Mamas

So my little girl is exclusively breastfed but she wont even take FRESHLY PUMP milk from the bottle. I had a whole 4oz that was going to waste and baby girl was just massanging her gums and smiling lol :/
Ive tried adding extra holes with a needle, the ol' switcheroo (BF first then switch ti bottle) but she's very keen and notices straight away.
Im currently using Nuby and Tommee silicone bottles, and I would like to try more softer, boob-like teats.

Id ideally like her to take a bottle so Dad can give me a REAL break yknow.

Has anyone had this same experience? Any teats one would recommend?
Thank you in advance!

How are we entertaining our babies

What toys does everyone have for their 7 month old?
Nothing is satisfying my little girl she's got blocks, rattles, playmats loads more. She would much rather hold my hands and walk all day but I cant physically do that and whenever I put her down to play she just wont, is this just a faze?
