Pressure

I'm 27 weeks tomorrow and feel uncomfortable, feel like pressure (not really pain) in my lower belly, feels like the baby is very low or pressing just above my pubic bone but no cramps or pain
Does anyone have this? Should I be concerned?

Yes!! I’ve been having this sensation! It feels weird doesn’t it!

I’ve turned 27 weeks today and had exactly this too!

Is this normal? Or can this be premature labour? Can feel the baby movements so I think baby is fine, just feels weird, especially when I get up from sitting and start walking, it's like I'm tense in my very low belly

I never had it with my first, but I suppose it could be anything. I had a Google and it could braxton hicks, round ligament pain, baby’s position or your uterus expanding

I get this now and again and tbh I think it’s just baby moving around and probably different positions. If it’s excruciating and lasting more than just a couple mins call up your hosp

Yes I have this! I’m also 27 tomorrow. It feels like a pulled muscle really low in my belly and makes it difficult to move around as much. I also think the lower pressure you’re feeling could be low kicks. I’ve noticed she bounces on my bladder which feels so weird. I was expecting this more 30+ weeks not now haha x

I get it most days when I’m at work and I just think it’s just the position of how the baby is

Avatar

Yeah I get this, think it's just positioning

I get it quite a lot I’ve put it down to him being very low and putting pressure on my lower tummy I press on my lower stomach and I can feel it’s really firm so know he is sat there but eventually he does move if I poke around a little bit xx

I thought it was baby putting pressure on cervix, I've had waves of this regularly. It hurts

I get this when I’ve been sitting and she’s settled low in my pelvis and I then try to stand lol
I think it’s just cause there not as much room as before

Obstetrician led

I’m having shared care between midwife’s and obstetrician.

My previous pregnancy I had extra growth scans as baby was measuring big and I had pre-eclampsia during labour and a full dilated emergency C-section.

This time round I’m having obstetrician appointments, midwives appointments, cervical length scan every two weeks from 16-22/24, and extra growth scans again .

I’m just finding it all a lot to process can anyone let me know there experiences and if they went on to have a happy pregnancy despite it

Mums that have kids🥰

When you gave birth and came back home with your newborn. When people wanted to come visit you straight away. How did you feel?

Everyone has different experiences I’m so curious x

Movements

How are people with no obvious ‘pattern’ monitoring baby movements?

My babies movements vary so much day to day, there is no pattern I can see whatsoever.

For example, over the weekend i felt him a few times during the day but nothing crazy, Monday & Tuesday he was wild in there and I felt movement on and off all day, today back to a few times.

When it varies this much I have no idea how I’m supposed to work out what is ‘normal’ and when to be worried!!!

Midwife visits

how many PP midwife visits have you had and at what point??
I’m 3 weeks PP tomorrow, had a midwife come out on day 1 and then day 5 and got told at the day 5 visit that a midwife would come out again once baby has reached birth weight so that we could be discharged, yet she’s been back to birth weight for a week and we’ve heard nothing from midwife’s. all contact now seems to be only from a health visitor but she’s not coming back until another 3 weeks.
Should we have had another midwife visit post day 5, or have atleast heard from them during this time…? 15 days no contact at all makes me assume i won’t?

Holidays without baby - Has anyone left there baby’s under one for a few days/week?

I’m currently pregnant and me & my partner have booked a 4 night break away to Greece next may. Our baby will be 9/10 months old. We are leaving him with my parents.

I’ve had a couple comments from people saying I should not of done this. I don’t no how I am going to feel after having a baby ect ect. I feel I will be fine as he will be 9/10 months.

Has anyone left there baby’s under one for a few days/week?
