sleep help!

hi, i have 8 week old twins and we cannot get them to sleep at nighttime in our house.

we had just stayed at his parents house and they slept nearly all night. well rested babies. and then we come home and they have their naps, but as soon as it becomes nighttime they are non stop crying. refuse to sleep in their crib day or night bur it’s worse at night.

we have tried separating them. we have a routine. we have upped their feeds and we non stop burp them because they get bad trapped wind. we do warm baths with nice massages. we do everything possible and yet still no luck.

any suggestion? i don’t know what more i can do. they flair their legs and arms around and wake themselves up or straight up just fight their sleep constantly until they are overtired.

i need help!!

Couple things we did that has worked...but to be honest I think 8 weeks is a little too young to be sleeping through the night. At 8 weeks ours were still waking up every 3-4 hours for feeds but definitely not non stop crying before bed. Putting them down was relatively easy at 8 weeks...mine are now 13 weeks and just now getting into a rhythm (only wake up once).

Anywho, here's what worked for us. We used swaddles (the halo microfleece ones were great!) and when those didn't work anymore we transitioned to sleep sacks. We don't give big bottles before bed, caused acid reflux and too much gas so we give a big bottle around 4/5pm then normal bottle around 8pm. I did research and read that if they get their calories throughout the day then they won't need to wake up as much at night so try to feed more frequently or bigger bottles during day. We use white noise machine to put them to sleep and keep it on for about an hr on low.

If they are crying screaming alot then it's likely trapped gas, you can use infant gas drops. We use MYLICON and works great! We also keep the temp of the room they sleep in around 68, 69 degrees. They got way too fussy if it was any warmer...also pay attention to wake windows! This one is a biggie.Good luck!

Blood in baby’s poo

Ladies, I’ve just changed my baby and noticed some blood on his poo and on the diaper. The poo was quite soft, not pebbly and he wasnt straining or anything like that. Anyone had anything like this before? What is it? Shall i call the GP?

Help

Hi mamas! Has anyone dealt with their baby’s hair clumping at the back of their head? I tried baby oil to loosen it but no luck so far. Any advice?

Struggling

My baby’s 5 weeks old and I am really struggling. I knew it would be hard but it’s so much harder in reality. She won’t be put down without waking up after 5 minutes. Won’t be put down at night either. I can’t do anything without doing it one handed holding her. Every night she spends hours being stressed and crying and really difficult to console, fighting sleep and nothing I do seems to help her for more than 30 seconds. I’m just putting this out there wondering if others are going through the same. It’s a lot.

Wake windows

My 12 week old can just about do 60mins. I've tried extending it but she gets overtired really quickly.

What's everyone else's wake windows and how many hours are your babies napping?

Naps etc

Hi
I have 15 week old little girl and I was just wanting advice of what other people
Do about naps in the day, she is a contact Napper, is anyone else’s baby like this or do they let you put them down, or do people do naps in the next to me with a camera etc?

Just wanting to know other people in my situations routine of how many naps do they have a day, last nap time and night time routine? We was getting somewhere with sleep, up to 5 hour stretches but over last week we have gone back to 3 hourly feeds on the dot, any advice will help!

Thanks

Is it really necessary to change the nipple flow?

Hi moms ! Is it really necessary to change the flow of the nipples ? Or I can just stay with the same one ? Also, is okay that I use the same bottles and nipples for my next baby?
