Disposable pants for after birth

Hiya! I’ve heard lots of people talk about mesh pants or disposable pants in their hospital bags, just wondering if anyone has any recommendations for these and for pads. Want to be as comfy as possible after giving birth 😊

I really liked the Frida mom disposable underwear, very comfortable and was more fitted so it kept my “padsicle” in place! The hospital ones work but get loose pretty quick so things shift around more down there which was uncomfortable for me.

I liked the Tena pants as they were super stretchy and secure. I've bought enough for a couple of weeks this time round plus for my first period. You can get high or low waist ones..I prefer high but worth getting both in case of c section scar. I just used any maternity pads tbh.

I second Frida mom ones. Super comfy, they were even comfy on my tummy after an unplanned c section x

I used the Amazon brand incontenece disposable underwear because they hold a lot and are cheap. But I’ve also started using the always disposable period underwear when I don’t have any of my reuseable period underwear clean. The always are more comfortable than the Amazon brand but more expensive.

I loved the frida mom ones and the lilets maternity pads as very long so good coverage front to back x

Lilets maternity pads are the best! Don’t buy the own brands, you’ll be leaking. I think the pants are so expensive!

agreed! The high waisted tena pants were amazing and you can get them in black too which is ideal 🙃

Thanks everyone ☺️

I bought the superdrugs own make ones, the only ones I found big enough to cover my bump comfortably! Very reasonably priced as well X

I got a packet of the tena pants but im unsure if youre supposed to use a pad as well as because they dont look very thick

I’ve just had my baby and for 5 days I wore black Tena silhouettes. No need to worry about a pad moving or rubbing, you can just bleed out freely into your gorgeous underwear 😂 but I’m a size 10 and I got L and they weren’t exactly large. So I’d really size up for comfort

did you have to use a pad as well as? These are what ive brought x

how many times a day did you change them? X

Sorry guys -
No pad aswell. They have a build in pad. I changed twice a day but of course this depends on blood loss. I had a c section so was less

Wdy think of this for a toddler to learn word construction?

I'm open to anything else to start teaching him to read and write. He's 3!

Do men really enjoy fellatio?

Been together more than 10 years, but it's been a while since he even seemed remotely interested in me getting on my knees, or vice versa so to speak. I think it was once last year. Must be something I am doing wrong 🤔. Generally everything else in that department is great and we have two young kids with no extra support, so it's quite surprising we can't keep our hands off each other but may need to try new things. It's basically 2 positions each time with some foreplay.

Vanilla extract

Has anyone used alcohol free vanilla in their babies formal to help them drink?
I’m 100% sure my baby refuses her bottles as she doesn’t like the taste of it!

Just anxious to try it, don’t want her to get used to it and then refuse bottles again after two weeks of using (correct me if I’m wrong but I’ve read you use it for 2 weeks max)

TIA 🙂

Naps

How is everyone doing for naps?

Little one is 9 months old and will have 2 half hour naps and one solid 1 hour - 2 hour nap a day

Then settles for night around 9pm. Wakes for a feed around 3:30 then sleeps until 6-7

Sex post C section

Hi ladies I’m 4 weeks 5 days postpartum and I had a C section. I’m not bleeding properly anymore just some brownish discharge stuff that starts on and off. I’d like to do the deed with my partner; is it okay to do so or shall I wait the full 6 weeks. I feel up for it but also worried because the advice is 6-8 weeks.

Pumping advise

FTM to a 2 week old! I’m breastfeeding and then giving one formula bottle last in the evening before bed. I want to start expressing milk to give me some breathing room and also allow my partner to be more involved in feeding. I’m finding the idea of introducing pumping into my day quite overwhelming though. I don’t want to take milk away from my baby by pumping if he needs it during the day when being breastfeed.

Can anyone advise how I start pumping and when to do it? Thank you!
