Ideas to celebrate New Years with toddlers

Hey mamas! Any suggestions on how to celebrate new years eve with my two year old? Any way I can make it fun and special for him? Obviously his bedtime at 8pm will be the pretend midnight lol. Any cute traditions you follow? Thanks!

I would do the pretend midnight earlier than bedtime. My guys were 2 last year and we did it about 30 mins before bed time. They were super hyped and didn’t want to go to bed. This year I plan to do it around 6pm, just after dinner. Find a video of the ball drop from a previous year, do the countdown and kisses, then we can have a little dance party. After that we can start our wind down routine and get ready for bed. So by 8pm they’ll be settled and (hopefully 🤞🏻) go to bed on time.

@Genevieve Awww love this!! I'll do the ball drop video 🥰. Lol thanks for the heads up, didn't realize they can get really hyped up after that!

You could get him a new years hat and the little kazoo thing people sometimes blow. There's also confetti poppers if your up for cleaning it up after.

I did balloons drop from ceiling.

@Angela how do you rig that up?
