Hand foot and mouth
I’m away on holiday, my little girl is covered in rash blisters, over legs arms hands face and bum. Looks so sore. Think this could be hand foot and mouth. Has anyone got any tips?

Either that or chicken pox. Where are you on holiday? If you can get camomile lotion or a cooling mouse they are brilliant.
If you are able to bath, get some oats wrap in a muslin or something and put under the tap while it’s running. Don’t use soap in bath but squeeze out the milk from the oats and dab it all over too soothe.
Definitely calpol but not ibuprofen as this can cause infections!!
Oat baths really helped mine! And keeping in loose comfy clothes. Calpol. Yoghurts if they have blisters inside their mouth.
thank you! We are in Mexico. Do you think chicken pox’s? She also has diarrhoea. Will try and get some oats. Luckily I have camomile lotion
This looks very similar to our boy when he had HFM. His actually got infected and we had to use an anti biotic cream so it might be worth checking for pharmacies/clinics near where you are in case that’s needed.
Aqueous cream was a life saver for my bubba when he had hfm!
when he had it did he have it all over? She seems to have it everywhere apart from her back and stomach. It’s so worrying
how long did it take to clear up?
id probably say the majority of spots were gone within around 7 days. He was very dribbly while he had it and he had spots basically everywhere but his torso x
did you give piriton Calpol?
I gave calpol and ibuprofen as and when and also got prescribed Fucidin cream for him x
ah no, only on his hands, feet and inside his mouth. Can you see a doctor at all? Or maybe even a video call with a uk doctor back home ?
she doesn’t have any inside her mouth just all around atm. Yes spoken to UK doctor and doctor here but just doesn’t seem to be going at all but only on day 4

they said chicken pox or hand foot and mouth but from others and all her symptoms I think it’s hand foot and mouth. Hard as I am abroad in Mexico x
really tricky for you. I hope you get sorted soon. Last thing you want to be dealing with whilst being away! X
