Abdominal circumference 95th percentile 20 week scan

Hi everyone!
Happy new year!
Just had our 20 week scan today, all well with the baby, apart from abdominal circumference was at 95th percentile.
Been asked to go back for a scan at 28th week and gestational diabetes screening in a few weeks too.
Has anyone else experienced something similar with the abdominal measurement?
What was the outcome?
Any help appreciated!!
Xxx

Yes I had the same with my second baby and with my current one I was close to it too. That time they told me that everything looks fine but his tummy measures big I should come back in 2 weeks time, so I did and I did again and again literally every two weeks. I didn’t have gestational diabetes nothing like that. Baby turned out perfectly healthy with a big tummy 🤣 he was always a hungry baby 🤣🤣 try not to worry about it.

Ah thanks Suzie!! Glad they were healthy babies 🥰

My baba is 95th percentile for tummy and head! Though she didn’t seem concerned about it and hasn’t asked me to come back/not mentioned anything about gestational diabetes (though it did cross my mind). I’m going to raise at my midwife appt next week

that’s good they didn’t seem concerned!! Fingers crossed all is well for you!

My baby’s abdominal circumference is also 95th percentile but I have gestational diabetes that was detected early. They have asked me to come at 28 weeks and I was seen by a consultant who told me it’s fine and it’s still early and this might change. They didn’t seem worried and said to be calm and not stress 🤗

ah that’s great Saloni! Hoping for a healthy baby for you xxx

My baby’s AC is on the 97th percentile! Ive got a gestational diabetes test booked in a few weeks but nothing was mentioned about going back for extra checks, although I haven’t seen my midwife since this so will see what she says at my next appointment in a few weeks!

So glad to see this post that other people have had similar experiences - I had my scan this week at my scan with baby measuring 99th percentile for abdomen and 93rd for legs.
They made sure I was booked in for the gestational test and that was all for now. I was worried if it will effect birth choices but wonder if it’s too early to know that at this stage

Scan needed at 33 weeks

Hi ladies! I just had a midwife appointment (I am 33+5)..the midwife was different to my usual midwife. She's requested I have a scan within 72 hours as she said baby is measuring a little small, however, she did say that it's likely nothing to worry about and it's probably just her measuring me a bit different to my usual midwife. Has anyone else had this? Am a bit worried although babys heartbeat and movements are completely fine.

Finding out gender

Has anyone found out the gender at a private scan at 14 weeks? And has this been accurate?

I found out at 17 with my first but I know a scan place that offers from 14/15 weeks and I’m impatient 😂🥲

Rolling milestone at 5 months - What’s typical ?

Good morning ladies,

My daughter will be 5 months old tomorrow, but there’s still no sign of her rolling. She does tummy time and loves lying on her mat, playing with hanging toys above her and to the sides, but she only lifts her legs and doesn’t seem interested in rolling or moving sideways yet.

Anyone else the same or have your babies already learnt how to roll yet ?

Thank you
