Insufficient Ovarian function

Hi ladies, I've missed my period for the last 4 months, had blood tests done in November that showed high fsh levels and they told me my ovaries are not producing enough estrogen. I've been referred to gyna but still awaiting an appointment. My gp suggested insufficient ovarian function. I just turned 40 in October and have no family history of early menopause, in fact my older sisters still haven't gone through menopause and had kids well into their 40s. I feel like gp is not listening to me and I'm worried they'll dismiss me as being old and not try to help me concieve. I have a 3yr old and got pregnant at 36 quickly. I'm desperate to try for another and willing to try anything. Any tulips, words of wisdom would be appreciated. Feeling alone and very emotional atm.

Missed period confusion

I am 14 days late. My period simply did not arrive in March. I am a 36yro Mom of two, no health issues, have a regular monthly period and just last spring had normal hormone levels confirmed with lab work.

I am definitely not pregnant (had tubes removed during my last csection, 4 years ago). I track my cycle and went through my calendar and have gotten it on either the same day each month or within a day or two from it. However, apparently this time last year I missed it as well. So bizarre!!! I don't understand. I'm currently waiting for it to arrive to begin IVF for a third, but this is worrying me. All the reasons online that offer possible causes don't apply so is missing a full menstrual cycle once a year just, normal? I feel like a RAGING bitch and have been crampy/bloated for days. What is going on here 🤔🫣

Spiralling - hormonal imbalance

Hiya,

I was feeling v rundown & tired for some time & had bloods taken back in January & was diagnosed with anaemia & given tablets. I don’t feel like they helped at all & they were just for 3 months & feel as tired/run down as ever.

At the time, it came up in conversation with my Mum that I was having irregular periods (I have a tracker app & consistently for well over a year). What once lasted 5 days max & came every 28 days was now 10 days max & every 19 days…..The Doctor did ask about periods but seemed more concerned if if they were heavy or sore.

Flash forward 3 months & I call up re medication to stop periods on holiday & just mentioned the irregularity again & the (male this time) Doctor books me in for hormonal imbalance blood tests. I’ve been Googling & they can be for thyroid issues (which the bloods in Jan also covered), infertility (👶🏼👶🏼), PCOS (no) or pre/peri menopause (Doc already counted it out as too young).

I’m just curious if anyone else has had these kinds of tests & what came of it?
