Crib or bassinet - what is your preferred sleep solution and why

I would like to know whether you prefer a bassinet or a crib with an option of cosleep for your baby? Also if it's a bassinet- is it a smartish one with the modes and all? I am all over the place with mixed opinions and would like to gather some more pros/ cons to make my choice.

So we had just a regular bedside bassinet for the first 3 ish months but honestly I wish I had started out with the crib or maybe even the playpen next to the bed. For me it wasn’t worth the money for how much it was used. Some people can keep their babies in the bassinet for up to 6 months but mine just grew so fast that she would wake up anytime she moved her arms bc they’d touch the sides. Ultimately you gotta do what’s best for you because it’s different for everyone
