Vbac at UHCW

Hello all,

Has anyone had a Vbac at UHCW? Could you please share your stories? Did you go for the birth centre or labour ward etc? Were you induced in your VBAC or was it spontaneous labour? i’ve had one previous C-section at UHCW and not laboured

Induced with my first and it wasn’t good but I will say it was in the height of Covid.

Aso induced with my second, they wanted to move me to George Elliot for staffing reasons but I refused. I would have been open to it if they’d had suggested before but not hours before I gave birth. The midwives are lovely. Both of my labours and births were in labour ward.

Hiya, I had a vbac at UHCW 15 months ago. Had a planned section 4 years previous with twins, this time I ended up being induced at 39 weeks due to reduced movements, had the balloon inserted which helped me to dilate however no contractions started. I had my waters broken and was allowed time to see if anything would happen on its own which unfortunately it didn’t so was started on the hormone drip at the very smallest amount which kick started my contractions. My little girl was born within 3 hours of starting the on the drip x

Thanks, that’s really helpful! How long were you in?

i was admitted on the 28th September and she was born early hours of the 1st. I was home within 12 hours, would of been sooner but the doctors had lots of emergencies that morning so took a while to come round to discharge us xx

Day out after c section

Hey,
I had an emergency c section 1 week ago I obviously don't want a day out right now but I have things booked for the Easter holidays so in 2 weeks. I was just wondering if I will be overdoing it if I have a day out then or will I be ok? I would still take it as easy as I could. When did everyone feel good enough to go out?

Reduced Movements

Has anyone else gone in for monitoring for reduced movements and as soon as you arrive at triage the baby starts moving and the CTG is normal? It makes me feel like I am over reacting.

2nd pregnancy after c section

I’m not planning on getting pregnant anytime soon but in the future possibly. I just wanted to know how is pregnancy after c section like my fear is having to go through another emergency operation or even putting strain on my incision during pregnancy

Baby Movements

Hello, I’m a FTM currently 18W5D pregnant. I’ve been getting this tugging feeling in my stomach after I eat, it’s uncomfortable but not painful. I don’t know whether that’s the baby moving or round ligaments pain.

I’ve also been getting round ligament pain which is either a sharp stabbing pain or a stretching sensation. These happens whether or not I’ve eaten while the tugging feeling is only after I’ve eaten.

So, could the tugging feeling be the baby or something else.
