Elective section

Hey I was just wondering if any of you have had an elective section at New Cross and what was your experience like? I’ve filled out the forms for mine and now just waiting for a date. Had an emergency with my daughter so I’m really nervous 😩

Mine was amazing so relaxing and chilled :) I would definitely do it again when I have my next child :)

Following this, I’m going to consent for my c section this Thursday and I had my first baby in south Devon xx

@Nicki that’s reassuring to read. After the emergency with my daughter I’m just too scared to try for the vbac so I’ve opted for the elective and it makes me feel better to see you had a good experience x

I went in st 8am, got into a ward and waiting till they see you and they will let you know where you are on the list, I was 4th and I went down at 1:40pm went into the theatre met everyone and it was nice and relaxing everyone was so nice, my baby was born at 2:35pm, my boyfriend was with my baby in recovery while I was getting stitched up and I went into recovery and went up to the ward and I was out the following day x

@Becky I wasn’t going to do it I was going to try the vbac because of other people pressuring me but I don’t think I can do it yet I feel a lot more comfortable with the idea of the elective section. Just nervous for the recovery again 😂 xx

@Chloe me too the thing that’s worrying me the most is that I’m gonna feel everything but I know that that’s in my head just very scared this time around Xxx

@Nicki that sounds amazing. I just can’t wait to get it out of the way now xx

I was in pain killers for 7 days and the blood thinners but I felt fine after I finished the meds, I was walking around the ward as soon as the catheter was removed, getting in and out of bed without help x
