Hi I’m taking my sister and her baby away for her bday as a surprise (she wouldn’t be comfy leaving her) but wondering what would be best, a nice hotel or a less nice Airbnb (but baby could have own room)
Little one will be 9 months.
Feel like it would be lovely to stay in a nice hotel but then we’d all be a bit stuck in silence after baby’s bed time. But the airbnbs are less of a treat

Absolutely gorgeous that you want to treat your sister and her little. Airbnb would give you both the space and the resources to be able to take care of baby.
All that being said, and I might be in the minority here, everyone is different. A surprise trip would give me heart palpitations with a babe on my hip. You might consider bringing her in on the plans. She can let you know her limitation’s, and needs. And be prepared!
A trip is a beautiful gift, and it’s fun that you want to surprise her, it may just be more stressful for her than you might know.
she knows there’s a trip she just doesn’t know it’s me that’s taking her ! ( I live away )

My vote is 100% Airbnb. The main reason is any naps and sleep time baby has you are all sat in a dark room in silence…
I just find them so much easier (not sure how long the trip is) but they have washing machines etc which makes packing so much easier as you know you can just put a wash on!
such a good point

There are some baby friendly hotels in the UK which provide baby stuff and have separate rooms. Am looking into it for us at the moment. Will try and find a link.
