Tummy time
My 17 week old girl hates tummy time and mostly uses her neck to lift her head or will sometimes lean on her elbows which are stuck under her chest, instead of pushing herself up with arms forward and hands on the ground. She only does about 2-3 minutes before getting annoyed and crying. Is this normal at 17 weeks?

My daughter is just over 4 months and she does the exact same thing and we sort of abandoned normal tummy time in favour of passive tummy time, just putting her on my chest or laying her over my thigh so she's sort of propped up on her elbows and forearms. Now I've read your post I'm assuming its normal! 😂 x

Absolutley the same with my 4 month old, I try and do a little bit here and there but she really doesn’t like it
Oh yeah mine loathes standard tummy time but will happily lie on his stomach and look around if he's on me. Don't worry about it, as long as they're holding up their heads and looking about at this age, they're fine.
