My son is now 7 months old and has outgrown his original bath seat. He can sit unsupported for some period of time but does tend to lean back or fall to the side so I'm wondering which is better. A non slip bath mat or a bath seat? My only issue with the bath seats is how restrictive they are and having to pull baby in and out to give them a clean. But also worried he will just fall over on a bath mat. What is everyone using at the moment?

I put the foam bath mat in the back of the bath seat so it's more comfortable and he can sit there for longer and play and 5 mins before the end I jsut give him a quick wash them x it's also great if you do have stuff to do whilst he's in the bath (mine has been some admin stuff) xx

We started using a bath seat when our little one could sit for short periods of time.
I probably wouldn’t have bothered buying one as she’s only used it for a few weeks and now sits on the non slip bath mat in shallow water.
We found the bath seat restrictive, and as you say, it’s hard to get her in and out to wash her properly.

We use a bath mat as little man is adamant he can sit by himself but still a bit wobbly so I sit him with his back to the side of the bath with a toy stuck to the other side so he can play but he can’t fall backwards if that makes sense. Always have my hand on his thigh to help stabilise him too but have found he sits unsupported for longer periods of time in the bath than on the floor

I use a bath mat, and will use a bath seat once my twins can sit independently x

Sticks to the bottom of the bath to stop slipping.
