Advice for getting married please!

Me and my partner have been engaged for 3 years. I’ve been pregnant for 18 of those months so we put getting married on the back burner as we don’t see any rush. Now that we’ve had our youngest I’m starting to look into it more. Now I get overwhelmed very easily and I get frustrated with myself for not understanding things,my partner has looked into it but he wants to use an army church and use their padre (he’s in the army but he also has no idea where to start). I’m just looking for some advice, where do I start? I know I need to give notice of marriage first, we just want to go to a registry office with our kids and maybe 10 guests but we don’t want to spend an absolute fortune. We’re both happy to have a ceremony and just go to a local put to celebrate after it!

Not sure if it’s the same but we got married at the Air Force chapel and we made an appointment with the chaplain and talked to him. They help you with what you need to do. In our case he wanted so many weeks of premarital counseling (which I highly recommend btw) and then we were able to. I will say we only had two people we wanted with us so not sure about having an actual wedding on a base
