Grunting/groaning noise

My little one makes a grunting/groaning sound quite a lot which from Googling seems like it could be due to wind as he'll often be fidgety too. I have tried doing cycling legs and massaging his tummy which does sometimes make him fart but nothing seems to make it go away fully.
Does anyone else have the same issue and any magic tricks to help? x

Following, same issue with my son

Ahh I didn't see this 🙈 sounds so similar! I've been trying to give mine teething toys too but I think he's still a bit too young to hold anything and the Nuby glove I got is massive for him lol. He's is dribbling SO much at the moment too and I'm not sure if the noises are connected x

My LO had this before his CMPA diagnosis and once we changed his milk he stopped as he was a lot more settled. However without jumping the gun as our LO had lots of other CMPA symptoms, try using gripe water it’s amazing for trapped gas x

thanks for your reply! I EBF and actually cut out as much dairy as poss as he had lots of other CMPA symptoms too. I wonder if I'm still getting some dairy in or maybe he's just a naturally gassy baby 🤔 x

Yeh maybe you’re right she’s been days and days without a poo!! Can’t remember last time she went! 🥲🤦🏼‍♀️ this is quite normal for her tho. She’s breastfed also x

@incognito it could be anything in your diet but especially the dairy and lactose. I stopped BF all together as he just got so poorly. It takes roughly 6 weeks for any dairy to be fully cleared once you stopped having it. Has it been that long?

I stopped about 2 weeks ago and then ate a protein bar with milk in by accident yesterday so we're probably back to square one 🙈 I've got a doctors appt tomorrow about it. How do they usually confirm if its CMPA? x

When do things get easier?

As we entered the 9-12 month stage, my son started crawling and pulling himself up. He also became more clingy and does not play alone, still doesnt sleep through the night, and this week has been sick (so EVERYTHING amplified). I am tired and overwhelmed. Please lie and tell me things get better. 🥺

Colostrum storing?

Has anyone successfully extracted colostrum before the baby’s born? Apparently it gets produced from 16w pregnant and you can start storing it in the freezer but I’m 34w looking at my nipples and the syringes on amazon wondering how it works?? Like what did you use and did it hurt? 🥲

Self settling

Any tips or advice of how to teach 6.5month old to self settle? I’m up multiple times in the night to cuddle her back to sleep and put the dummy in. I understand she will wake up and want a cuddle etc but any tips on self settling would be appreciated 🥰

Baby losing weight

Hi all, it's been a long time since I had a baby (my son is 15!). My daughter is 10 days old and was 9lb born, she has since lost weight at every appointment and is at a 12% loss. I am breast feeding every two hours for over an hour and topping her up every feed. I pump and can get 60ml in 10 minutes so I know my supply is okay. Anyone had this before? Can give me some tips? I currently feel like I'm letting my baby down.

Breastfeeding

Does it ever feel better? The actual feeding part of it is going really well and baby boy is growing so well. I’m struggling with how my boobs feel day to day - it’s really getting me down most days. The let downs make me feel awful and sounds silly but, I am also really missing not wearing a bra! 9 weeks postpartum and still getting fairly engorged, even with comfort pumping.

Any advice or just shared stories would help. I’m so torn between carrying on because I enjoy the feeding side of it or switching to formula.
