Went in for my 12 week sono today and babies heart rate was 186. This seems high to me but the doctor wasn't concerned. Should I be worried?

I think babies' heart rates are normally higher earlier on and then slow a little as the pregnancy progresses don't quote me on this as could be wrong. I think anything over 200 is seen as "abnormally high"

Spoiler Alert: Dont read if you are waiting until birth for the gender. When it's high, it's a girl. If there was a concern, the doctor would have said so. I have three girls and a boy, and the girls were all high.

Babies heart rate are quite high especially younger babies it slows down later on. If doctor is not concerned you’re fine don’t worry

Normal. And the heart rate being high or low doesnt mean anything for the sex of the baby. My sons was higher than my daughters

@Jules all my boys have all been high.. heart rate doesn't have anything to do with gender

Bit of an old wives tale isn’t it! Although it was accurate for our girl and now boy which is interesting but probably a coincidence

That's fine, if you have ever held a mouse or hamster you'll have felt their little hearts beating away quickly, it's just how it works with something tiny and slows down as they get bigger
