barnet hospital

Hey! I’m looking to give birth in barnet hospital as it’s the closest to me with a maternity unit. Just wondering if anybody has been there or given birth there and could share their experience. Thank you

That’s where I am having baby too!

I started my induction there 3 years ago but so many women kept coming in in active labour that it kept pushing me back for days. I was waiting to have my waters broken so I ended up going royal free to continue my induction. WORST decision ever. Even though I was not at Barnet to finish my labour I will be going back there as my the start of my induction was great and all the nurses were fantastic. I felt the nurses at royal free just don’t give a fuck in the nicest way lol x

I birthed here and everyone was lovely I had no problem . Parking is horrendous at certain hours though as it’s such a small car park! Once I reached 4cm they put me straight into a room , and gave me the epidural when requested, I had to have one done twice as my husband ripped the 1st one out by mistake when I was nearly due to push. Both were done really quickly . When it came to pushing she was amazing coaching me through it everyone was friendly and supportive and helped keep me calm . I had a lovely experience really and they were really attentive to my baby when they were checking her for things as we had to stay an extra week bcos baby and I had an infection

Pregnancy after c section

What time scale did everyone get pregnant again after a c section?
I know the doc said they recommend eating at least a year to 18 months but it took 4 years to get pregnant the first time after being told we could not conceive naturally so not wanting to stop it happening knowing it could take a very long time again but also worried.

Braxton hicks

I’m currently 34 weeks and have been experiencing braxton hicks for the past few weeks however have been having cramps almost like very strong period cramps In my lower stomach. I’ve mentioned this to my midwife and she only really asked if I’d been keeping hydrated and taking my vitamins which I am but didn’t really proceed to tell me if this was normal or related to braxton hicks also, has anyone else experienced this?

Help

I was getting pretty painful period cramps and during those, I had painful lower back cramps. I had these on and off for like a few hours so from about 10:30pm to 1am?

I’ve had no show, or anything like that.

Is this braxton hicks or early labour pains?

Little girl turning herself sideways in next to me

My little girl tonight, has spun herself so she is lying sideways in her next to me, making me panic!

Is this normal at 4.5 months, do I just lie her back normally/vertically?
