How would you pronounce Bea?

I’ve heard people use Bea as a full name and or ounce it “Bee”. But I’ve also heard some pronounce it “Bee-uh” if it’s a nickname for Beatrice. Then others say “Bay-uh”. I’m torn between using Bea as a full name or a nickname for Beatrice, but I’m worried it would be a lifetime of mispronunciations.

Bea is so cute, definitely 🐝 for me. I like Beatrix too as a longer name (trixie could be another cute nn)

I love Bea and would do it as a full name, where are you based? I think in UK most people would know it's pronounced Bee

I had a friend name Beatrice but spelled, Beatriz . She goes by “Bee”.

My youngest is named Beatrix and my family and I sometimes call her Bea (bee🐝). But my intended and usual nickname for her is actually Trixi cause my oldest is named Stormi. But anyways, it’s safe to say I love the name!

My best friend is called Beatrix and she goes almost exclusively by Bea now and everyone including her has always read it as ‘bee’ to the point where she constantly gets given bee themed gifts lol

Yes Italian speaker here and BAY-UH would be the nickname for Beatrice which is pronounced Bay-uh-tree-chay in Italian - love BAY-UH

we have a little girl named Beatrice at the nursery I work at and her nickname is Bea, pronounced as Bee. i've not heard anyone say it differently (in the UK btw)☺️

Scan needed at 33 weeks

Hi ladies! I just had a midwife appointment (I am 33+5)..the midwife was different to my usual midwife. She's requested I have a scan within 72 hours as she said baby is measuring a little small, however, she did say that it's likely nothing to worry about and it's probably just her measuring me a bit different to my usual midwife. Has anyone else had this? Am a bit worried although babys heartbeat and movements are completely fine.

normal or infected?

5 weeks post c section , i went at the beginning of the week as my wound had opened completely different area to what’s leaking. was told it didn’t look infected. anyone know if this is normal coming off it, it’s only a little amount at a time

Finding out gender

Has anyone found out the gender at a private scan at 14 weeks? And has this been accurate?

I found out at 17 with my first but I know a scan place that offers from 14/15 weeks and I’m impatient 😂🥲

Baby names

My daughter‘s name is valentýna and I’m struggling to find other nice girl and boy names beginning with V I’ve got a few and I’ve got loads that aren’t beginning with V, but I feel like I wanna go for all vs and I also love girl and boys names that match so because my daughter’s name is valentýna I would love to call my son Valentino my husband does not agree 😃
