Mam bottles

Does anyone use a bottle warmer with mam bottles? Im just concerned about the water going into the holes at the bottom as sometimes they leak.

do you ever have issues with leaking? I dont know what im doing wrong but occasionally they leak out of the bottom x

I've found that usually, when they leak, it's water from the steriliser rather than the water/milk itself. Are you using the lid to push the white bit into the bottom? This makes it fit perfectly.

We used to use the mam bottle warmer, and still sometimes use a jug of boiling water to heat the bottle up, we haven't had any issues so far (LG is 6 months), but if you take the lid off when warming, it prevents the suction/vaccum effect, so shouldn't suck any additional water in through the holes (this is what the mam bottles warmer instructions tell you to do).

not that I’ve noticed but I usually heat my milk up in hot water (I use breast milk) so there’s kind of water on the bottle already. Maybe I’ve missed any leaking 😅

Nah I just heat in the microwave!

If I’m out and pre make a bottle I’ve had to rinse under hot water to warm it up.. I’ve found if I put in a jug of hot water the water seems to get in!

Just read from above tho.. I’m sure I’ve had the lids on.. didn’t realise this! It that case I will try again 😅🥰

i use momcozy portable warmer , it screws o where the lid goes so the base touches nothing and there’s no water involved xxx

If you take the lid off whilst you’re warming it up it should stop x

I work with a family who used mam bottled for their youngest when she was baby, I used to use a jug with hot water to warm up milk, it wasn't leaking into the bottle but when it was wet it was just from where the bottle had been in the jug of water x

I use bottle warmers with maam bottles and not ever thought of that or seen much issue as long as all parts are correctly pushed in . When I take the bottle out the warmer to use after testing temp of it I use a t-towel and shake the bottle upside down to get the hot water out any little gaps and wipe all over so littlen doesn’t get hurt as he likes to hold and touch the bottle x

I also take off the plastic lid when warming up but not the screw on teat x

8 week jabs 🙈

When should I give my little one Calpol before or after?

The doctors have told me to give it to him before and other people have told me to give it to him straight after as it could hide some of the symptoms.

Blackout curtains or blinds?

Now the days are getting longer trying to keep my little ones room as dark and cosy as possible to keep her through the night, what do people use curtains or blinds that are blackout? And recommendations of ones that aren’t too expensive please!🩷

Do your boobs ever feel sexy again?

I breastfeed and so obviously my baby is always touching, feeling, massaging, drinking, licking all over my boobs.

My partner then goes to touch them either looking for sexy time or during sexy time and I feel like he's doing a milk massage... It just feels bleghhhh

Does this ever go back to normal?

Silly question...

We are having a day out in London next weekend with our 6 month old...

What do we do regarding bottles? We use a rapidcool to make bottles on the go using the hot shot method. But we only have a flask that holds enough for 2 bottles of hot water.

Do we get a massive flask to take with us (will it keep hot enough?) Or is it normal to ask coffee shops/ restaurants for boiling water?

Leaving toddler for dad

Does anyone else leave their toddler in the morning for their dad? Like I can hear her shouting (not crying) but I wait for him to wake up to go get her out of bed.

The reason I do it is because if I were to go and get her, he wouldn’t get up, like I mean would stay in bed for an another hour or two whilst I’ve already been up and started the house work. Also, during the week when we have work and she has the childminder, I’m always the one to get up, sort myself out, the house and the dog out, then get her up and ready, then he gets up 10 minutes before he has to leave and does nothing.

So am I wrong for leaving my her in the mornings sometimes on our days off? Cuz he’s making me feel as though I’m wrong for doing it.

Would also like to point out our daughter never wakes up before 7:30 (except childminder days), most days she doesn’t get up until 8:30/9.
