Hi, I’m wondering when is the right time to transition our toddlers (2 years 3 months) old from a sleeping bag to a blanket? LO Still sleeping in cot and comfortable but sleeping bag seems to be annoying as it gets twisted when LO turns around in her sleep.

Our son has had a small blanket and pillow since before he was 2 - I can't remember the exact month but it was when he kept trying to walk around in his sleeping bag. He loves the pillow but has only just started using the blanket some nights - most nights he either lies on top of it or it's down by his feet.

doesn’t he get cold? Does he sleep with pajamas that covers his feet? I would like to transition our LO to the blanket too but I’m afraid she will get cold at night when she kicks it off. Plus I think sleeping back prevents her from being too adventurous and trying to climb out of her cot

We transitioned to a pillow and duvet around September/October time, and our son is still in his cotbed. We keep his room between 18-20°c and he just wears pyjamas and no socks. He did doze off on top of the duvet a lot in the early days, but now generally lays on the pillow and keeps it on.

My little one is about the same age and we made the transition last week for the same reasons. He just seemed uncomfortable with the bag.
He was thrilled with the bedding. Really pleased we made the transition. He’s also still in a cot. X

he usually wears long sleeve/trousers pyjamas but he does sometimes have shorts and tshirt for nap times. His room is around 20c and he has always been okay :) I was worried about that at first but so far, so good.
