Jelly, ovulation style discharge. Anyone else?

Morning Mam’s.

Woken up this morning, had a wee, wiped and had at the start what looked like egg white ovulation discharge. You know the thick clear stringy type? Yeah, that. Didn’t think a whole lot of it and that was that.

Came downstairs and felt a little wet, wiped again in the kitchen and had jelly type discharge. No normal lady discharge, like, actually jelly. But clear.

It’s not thrush I know that much. And not green and yucky looking like a usual mucus plug. It’s pretty much clear and like jelly/gelatine.

Anyone else had this before? Or currently?

I have called into the hospital and they aren’t overly concerned as it’s not accompanied by any pain or blood.

I’m just curious as to whether anyone else has had this around 33 weeks? I’ve not heard it before! Xx

I just had this morning & find out it's totally normal during the last trimester
Our body preparing for labour

Keep an eye on baby's movements x

could be mucus plug, it’s nothing to worry about yet, mucus plug can be lost any time in third trimester and if i remember correctly, it comes back several times x

Thanks all! 🙏🏼

I’ve seen a few of my friends mucus plugs and they’ve tended to come away all at once and look like lumpy, fleshy snot 🤢 lol.

The midwife did say the mucus plug can break away slowly and gradually so I’m guessing it is that.

Hoping that still means she stays there the full time. I don’t want her early by any means 🥲 xx

@Emily some people get discharge like this all through pregnancy so should be fine 🙂

I feel I’ve had it the whole way through thinking it was discharge🤦🏽‍♀️…but the further I’ve got on it’s got more greener and stringier I’m now 33+4 but not blood in it but everyone’s saying it can come out gradually and grow back,I’m a first time mum - i wouldn’t worry until there’s blood,I’ve done a urine sample at every appointment and nothing has come back of it x

Yeah, I had this about 32 weeks and asked my midwife about it as I’ve never lost mine in any previous pregnancy. She said mucus plug can be any colour from clear to cream (she didn’t say anything about green) and not to worry unless it had blood in it as it can regenerate xx

My apps and books say increased discharge including thicker discharge is normal for third trimester

Avatar

Thank you all.

My discharge has remained the same consistently throughout but the fact it wasn’t just increased discharge or just generally thicker, it was actual lumps of jelly, threw me off 😂 like haribo jelly!! Actual gelatine 😮‍💨😂

All good since though, no more jelly shows and comforted by the fact it seems to be somewhat normal in these last couple months or so. 👶🏽 🩷

Wait until it gets closer to your due date. You’ll be waiting for it to appear with “yay for mucus” cheers 🤣🙈

As much as I’m DESPERATE to see her and meet her, I need her in as long as possible to be as strong as possible cos she’s a little poorly. 🥹 she needs max lung strength n growth in my belly so no early appearances desired!! 😮‍💨

Section happening at 39 weeks so she needs to stick her arms and legs out and stay there no matter what! 🤸🤣 xx

Ahhhhh, cross your legs and hope she cooperates then!! Hope everything goes ok for you xx

Pregnancy after c section

What time scale did everyone get pregnant again after a c section?
I know the doc said they recommend eating at least a year to 18 months but it took 4 years to get pregnant the first time after being told we could not conceive naturally so not wanting to stop it happening knowing it could take a very long time again but also worried.

Braxton hicks

I’m currently 34 weeks and have been experiencing braxton hicks for the past few weeks however have been having cramps almost like very strong period cramps In my lower stomach. I’ve mentioned this to my midwife and she only really asked if I’d been keeping hydrated and taking my vitamins which I am but didn’t really proceed to tell me if this was normal or related to braxton hicks also, has anyone else experienced this?

Labour??

I’ve had on/off mild period cramps since 9 last night, very irregular and very mild, but I just had one that woke me up. My waters haven’t gone and nor has my mucous plug… but could this be a sign that it’s close?! I’m 40+3 and desperate to meet her!

Little girl turning herself sideways in next to me

My little girl tonight, has spun herself so she is lying sideways in her next to me, making me panic!

Is this normal at 4.5 months, do I just lie her back normally/vertically?
