Stupid physiotherapist suggestion

As a 3.5-month postpartum mother, I’m facing excruciating upper back pain from daily activities like housework and carrying my baby. Unfortunately, my recent physiotherapy appointment left me feeling disheartened—the advice was to avoid holding my baby and to refrain from household tasks, simply suggesting rest and paracetamol. This guidance feels unrealistic and unsupportive, especially considering the challenges of new motherhood. he didn’t even examine my back or assess its stiffness. I gave him sarcastic smile & step out 😂

Hey, unsure why he wouldn't assess you but I'd go back and ask to be assessed! Of course can't give much of specific advice but did he talk about pacing? You can still hold the baby/ household tasks but you might have to prioritise when to do what. Maybe look into how to lift things properly/ manual handling? Painkillers? Did he suggest any exercises, dynamic or static stretches? x Unfortunately feels like it's a theme, when was at worst with infection, wasn't able to sit down/ walk/ stand for more than few minutes at a time and was just told to continue as usual while having a newborn 🥲
