Worried

My partner has quit smoking with I’m grateful as she’s smoke for 15 years and knew it was hard for him but he is using elf bars to vape, he doesn’t vape around our daughter but I’m worried about second hand vaping he refuses to change clothes etc and I see some people saying the chemicals stick on clothes and he should shower/ wash his clothes everytime he vapes ?!

My partner quit smoking just a month ago also after 15 years, and we have a 5 day old. He has a chargeable vape that he uses and occasionally smokes in the house. I’ve not seen or been advised around 2 hand vape smoke and he hasn’t been changing clothes or showering etc. I don’t think theres a lot of evidence around vaping in general compared to cigarettes. Might be worth getting advice from a health professional, they’ll be likely to have the most up to date guidance and recommendations x

If he is going outdoors it should be largely ok. Unless he is exhaling his vape directly onto his clothes it's going to leave no more residue than other pollutants that stick to clothes when you go outside (car exhausts, other people smoking on the street etc). If he is vaping indoors it is a different matter as it will stay in the environment around you.
