Buying toddler shoes, how quick do they outgrow them?

My son is 15 months. He outgrew his shoes quickly, so I'm wondering if I should get a full size bigger than what he actually is.

About every 3-6 months

@Ella Thank you!

From what I’ve been told they should be the correct size because they support their feet better. If it’s a full size bigger it’ll be too loose around the ankle and their foot will slide out everytime they take a step.

We buy the correct size but get from Vinted etc. I got a £40 pair of shoes new for £5 still in the box!

My son’s feet don’t seem to grow! Around 1 I got his first shoes. He was a 4.5. At 18 months I got his feet checked again as I was worried they were getting tight or small.. he was still a 4.5! Anyway it’s safe to say I didn’t quite trust it so I bought his some size 5’s and some thick socks to make up for the extra space lol

My 20 month old has been in the same shoes since he was about 14 months old (literally just gone up a size) so I’d say that was good , I got all of his size now on vinted! You wouldn’t buy a pair too big for yourself so wouldn’t do it for toddlers! they still won’t be 100% stable on their feet so why add extra length to their shoes to trip up on 🤷🏼‍♀️ I get it if say they’re a size 5 but the pair you want only comes in half sizes so get a 5.5, but defo wouldn’t get any bigger then that! X

Probably shouldn’t go up a full size since that’s bad for their feet

@Abbi lol I have to buy the size up for myself all the time as I’m a half size. It’s fairly common for half sizes but yeah more than half is too much

@Shay well like I said half size fair enough
