Anyone else struggling getting there child to take medicine. I used to be able to put calpol in a yogurt but they are wise to that now and just bat the yougurt away. At my wits end and just want them to be able to take medicine if need be ie when they have a temperature. Any hints and tips. There is no reasoning with them. Thank you x

Sounds awful but when my little one needs antibiotics I just had to pin him down and force him to have them. X

My little girl will only take nurofen from a spoon (has to be a metal tea spoon). Calpol has to be the branded one. Try different ways of getting LO to take it (maybe even have some yourself if safe to do so) so they know it's okay x
Thank you both for your advice ❤️. Good shout on trying the branded calpol as this may taste nicer than the non branded one I am currently using. Yeah guess pinning them down might need to be an option too! So hard when they don't understand its to make them feel better! Thank yous again . Appreciate your replies. X

My little boy is exactly the same - I mix it with some Ella’s kitchen smoothie pouch (of a similar flavour) and freeze it. Then say “do you want some ice cream?!” I’ve literally tried everything and it’s the only low stress option that works with him 🙈
