Colic / Relux / Intolerance

How to tell the difference? All the symptoms seem to be the same, how are you meant to know which it is?

My LO just seems to be having such a hard time and it’s breaking my heart not knowing how to help!

I really hate the term colic, because it literally means "this baby is uncomfortable/unhappy and we don't know why" and I think often doctors just say "it's colic, they'll grow out of it" but that doesn't really mean anything. It's like if you went to the doctors as an adult with stomach pains, and they diagnosed you with... stomach pains. When really you want to know *why* you have stomach pains!
What makes you think baby might have reflux or an intolerance?

yeah I can’t quite get my head around what colic is! There’s an anti colic formula and an anti reflux formula and I’m really torn between which to try - or if there a total con anyway!

She’s spitting up a lot, during feeding, when burping, and for an hour or so after feeding.

She’s crying and fussing a lot, it seems like she’s in pain and uncomfortable.

Her stomach is so bloated all on one side, like it’s all blocked up in there.

She has 1 poo a day, but it’s a massive blow out, diarrhoea type poo.

She’s upset when she needs to be burped, and upset when she has the hiccups.

I’ve tried the tummy massage, keeping upright, infacol - all the stuff I saw on google. But no help really.

I am seeing the health visitor on Friday so I’m hoping she’ll be able to give some guidance or advice, but it’s just so upsetting seeing her cry and uncomfortable all the time, and spitting so much up im just worried she’s hungry all the time.
