defaults on credit file - renting application / credit checks

i’m currently applying for a rental with my partner. i’m unemployed and due to have a baby but he is employed. i know they are going to run checks on my credit and i have some defaults from years ago (less than 6 years) but i have no other adverse credit such as ccjs.

my partner has none and we have a guarantor. has anyone been through the same and been ok?

You should be okay, when we rented they ran checks but as my partner could afford it on his own they didn’t look to far into my credit history as his was so good. 😊
