Puggle Maxi Gro Comfort Plus Group 1/2/3 Eco Car Seat

Does anyone have this car seat and can show me how it’s installed?
Followed the instructions but doesn’t seem to be in securely. Using as a car seat in Grandparents car.
Thanks

If it’s a new seat I would honestly look at returning if possible, it’s FF only and isnt the best tested or safe.

How doesn’t it feel secure?x

my mum and dad have bought it. They need a car seat that can be easily removed and isn’t heavy to move as it will be in a motability car and they both have disabilities. It was the only suitable chair😫
It’s very loose when strapped in after following the instructions x

Avatar

It’s forward facing only, it’s not a safe seat in general but your little one is likely to small to even use it legally.
In the nicest possible way, please don’t use a seat so unsafe for a baby so young.
Puggle are affiliated to Team Tex and their seats are arguably the worst on the market and fail independent testing.
Graco Slimfit R129 is a great, safe budget option xx

it being a motability car won't make a difference, I have an axkid in my son's car which is a motability car.
Your little one looks way too little to be forward facing, could he stay in the infant carrier longer and they leave it in the car when they're not needing it?

Avatar

the back seats need to be folded for the drivers wheelchair to exit out of the back so not able to leave it in there. Little one is over 9kg so can forward face legally, I know it’s not ideal but haven’t found any non bulky rear facing!

Avatar

Can you leave an ERF seat in the front with air bags off? At 8 months old he wouldn’t stand a chance front facing, especially not in a puggle seat. You’d be better off having him in an infant carrier that can be belted in and out if he can’t go in the front seat

Avatar

What’s his height and weight?

Avatar

Your child would fit in a Joie Stages which can rear face up to 18kg and is belted in, so easily removable. It’s only £99 in boots and a much safer option to a puggle car seat - these car seats have white clips which have been known to come apart in a crash test.

How do I attach the back of the seat?

Avatar

what do you mean x

Avatar

Have you stripped it or did it come like that?
Have a look at the instructions for attaching it after washing.

But just so you know, this isn’t a safe seat for a 1 year old as it’s FF only and made by a pretty rubbish company.
I would consider changing it if you can xx

Avatar

I’ve unattached the back but don’t know how to adjust the straps.

And yeah I know I’ve read the reviews and all seemed fine. I don’t drive so it’s only for family members to take him out in x

Avatar

This seat is only suited for the skip, it’s not safe at all.
Take a look at Graco Slimfit R129, it will be a nice and safe option and very easy to install and within the same price range

Avatar

the harness height?

It may seem fine but if there is a crash, baby will likely be seriously injured if not worse.
Even for 1 journey a month, your child isn’t safe xx

Avatar

Yeah pretty sure it’s the harness height just have no idea how to even adjust the straps x

Avatar

what’s it actually called?

Avatar

What you mean ? The straps are just really long at the moment x

This seat will fall apart in a crash. Please take the advice, scrap it and put your baby in something safe

Help! First time mum -

I have a 4 month old and now all of a sudden when he’s been asleep for 1hr30/2hrs he will wake up screaming (high pitched) I’ve tried winding him sometimes that helps, I’ve tried bicycle legs & bringing his knees up but that doesn’t seem to help but he brings his knees up himself sometimes but nothing happens. I’ve noticed since the 4 month mark he has started to struggle passing wind downwards! Any tips?

Every bath she goes in quite happy but will only stay like this for a very few mins, if I try to clean her or move her we have tears and after a few mins the same. It's like she is scared. Our current baby bath is quite big should I try a different one? Looking for any suggestions as want her to enjoy bath time not be upset and I'm scared I'm going to make her hate it😢💗

Crying during feeding

Hey mams! My girl is 6 weeks on Monday and is having so much trouble with feeding. It doesn’t happen every feed but more often than not she will start a bottle and just start crying as if she’s in pain and she can’t take the milk. I think it’s trapped wind but I genuinely don’t know what to do it’s so pitiful to see her not be able to feed! She’s formula fed and on HiPP Organic.
Anyone else been in this position? I’m pretty sure it’s just a bit of trapped wind that she needs to fart out but can’t! If anyone has any advice I’d be very grateful as I think I may need to tape my eyelids open soon 😂

No more naps! 10 month old

For a few days now my 10m old has fought her 2 daily naps. Normally her wake windows were 3-4 hours and she is now eventually napping after a 6 hour wake window. Today was only one nap, she skipped the second one. Used to nap like clockwork so I’m wondering if anyone else is experiencing this? Also very unsettled most nights and doesn’t sleep well at all
