Cows milk allergy

My little girl is nearly 4 months old. I am breastfeeding and have cut out dairy soya and egg from my diet because Pippa was vomiting/stomach cramps/unsettled. Since I have done this she is much happier and the symptoms have stopped.
However I want to combi feed. She won’t take althera formula or the nutramigen, and the aptimal dairy free formula seems to give her stomach cramps and constipation. I have no clue what to do - has anyone had similar experiences with dairy free formula?

The doctor said they are the only dairy free formulas available.

I've seen in some groups where they use less formula and more breastmilk so that it's harder to taste and slowly switch to more formula

I’m on neocate formula prescribed by the doctors for my little boy as he didn’t take well to the nutrimagen. Neocate has been brilliant for him x

We are on nutrimigen and he didn’t want to take it at first but we added a small drop of vanilla as suggested by hv and he also has carabel in it for reflux and he’s been taking it much better. We have also started early weaning, directed by dietician as he was dropping loads of weight and the reflux and since then he’s started gaining weight x

Not sure if it would work for you but we had the same issue with symptoms with dairy and we’re on pepti Aptimal from GP, he ended up not liking it so I did some research and found kendamil goat milk and he’s doing amazing on it! It’s supposed to be gentle on their tummy’s over cows milk

Don’t let gp fob you off! All of those formulas are hydrolysed so they still have the cows milk protein in but just more broken down. The dr is only offering those as they are cheaper but you need to push them for an amino acid based formula (completely dairy free) either Neocate or we are on sma alfamino which has less allergens than Neocate (doesn’t contain soy or coconut) x

oh thanks. I have been tempted to try this to see if works for her. Thankyou

I have been prescribed an amino acid based formula but the one they prescribed isn’t available now so just waiting for them to prescribe another. So annoying that they make you waste your time going through all the cheaper versions first.
