No advice but my son is 8 months as well on the 26th and still not sitting on his own unassisted. Also still working on the crawling motions. I try to remind myself babies are all different but worried as well.

@Jacqueline birthday twins lol. I would sit in the floor with him between mylegs leaning on me with toys in front of him befire he was able to sit on his own

Crawling is a 9 month mile stone!

Just follow the last thing you said, all babies aren’t the same and some babies never crawl which is fine. My LO is 8 months and not crawling yet. It was not a milestone until 9 months and even then, they removed it as a milestone completely because of inconsistencies within babies. Your daughter is going to be completely different, just as my baby is different than both of your kids. You’re fine momma!!

My daughter will be 8 months in the 23rd will not eat baby food and hasn’t started crawling ether. She’s 14lbs. I also have been wondering if this is normal or should I be concerned?

My son will be 8 months on the 30th and he’s weighing in his 20’s too. I don’t believe weight is a factor. He just started crawling almost two weeks ago. He wasn’t sitting up on his own or even doing anything until randomly he woke up and said I’m doing it. Babies are really on their own time. However if your baby’s progression doesn’t improve in the next month, I recommend bringing it to your pediatrician because there may be a “muscle” or “nerve” that may be bothering them.

My baby just started crawling last week and he turned 8 months on the 9th. Try setting your baby on the ground like 6 feet in front of you and hold their favorite toy or what I did was pull out my boob and he came right over. Surprised the heck outta me.

My son will be 8 months tomorrow and still can’t sit unassisted. He also won’t eat food. No teeth. He’s maybe 18 pounds now. I’m not worried. As long as he’s doing most of those things by 10 months I’ll be happy

My youngest didn’t crawl until 13 months, every baby is different I wouldn’t worry

my 8mo old isn’t crawling. She’s more of a potato than a mover. Its way too early to worry and some babies skip crawling altogether and just start walking. No need to stress or push it.

Give him time

8 months is SUPER early for walking, your daughter was way ahead of the curve. Your boy is right on track.

@Meghan Hathaway thank you! Yes we do this and more and he’s gotten better but not sitting up on his own for more than 10-20 seconds.

My baby is 8 months today and she is army crawling to a point but that’s it. She is getting in the position and rocking, but that’s all lol

Agree to give him time. Not sure about knee pads but pants on hardwood is so slippery it makes it hard for them to even try. We saw our girl crawled so much easier without pants.

My son is 7m and 2w. He is 21 lbs. He is trying to crawl but not there yet I do think his weight plays a role in it. He also was late to roll over and sit up.

Eight months here and not quite crawling yet either. Physical therapist we used to see before graduating said only to come back if not crawling by ten months.

My son is now crawling! He is slow and doesn't crawl very much yet but he's doing it!! I posted 7 days ago he was not crawling then

My little one is 8 weeks and 2 months and she just officially started crawling! Before she would do a hand or two forward but that was it, but now she’s full on crawling! I posted two weeks ago she wasn’t crawling then but now she is
