Has Anyone Given Birth at Virtua Mt Holly or Had To Share a Hospital Room Postpartum?

I'm giving birth at virtua Mt Holly in June . We just booked our hospital tour for May. I was just told that the mt holly location makes you share a room with other patients postpartum and wondering if there's a way I can request a private room. I want my husband to be able to sleep over at the hospital for recovery purposes and to be my advocate just incase anything happens. Is he even able to sleep over? I'm worried cause I'm so far into my pregnancy to switch providers

Yesss I did and no didn’t have to share a room😳 I would most def ask for a private room! Yes dad can sleep over praying for a safe delivery 💓

I gave birth at Virtua Mount Holly in Dec 2022 and we all had private postpartum rooms. Unless something has changed since then, no one shared rooms. Truthfully the rooms were too small to even think about getting another hospital bed in there. But it was fine for me and my husband and baby! And yes, my husband slept over no problem, there’s a chair in there for partners that can recline all the way horizontal.

I am pregnant again and also due in June so maybe we will overlap at Mt Holly (from our separate rooms here’s hoping 😅). Did your OB tell you the postpartum rooms are shared? I’d be curious to ask mine as well to see if something’s changed.

@Rachel no a friend of mine said she switched to voorhees because she heard you don't get private rooms in mt holly. So I kinda freaked out a bit lol

Thanks for your kind reply! I'm due June 7th! When's your due date?

Pregnancy after c section

What time scale did everyone get pregnant again after a c section?
I know the doc said they recommend eating at least a year to 18 months but it took 4 years to get pregnant the first time after being told we could not conceive naturally so not wanting to stop it happening knowing it could take a very long time again but also worried.

Hospital bag (UK)

What did everyone pack for their section? I'm staying in for 3 days due to mental health, not really sure what I'll need to bring, feeling very nervous. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!
