Gender disappointment

I already have a daughter and haven't got my 20 week scan for a couple of weeks for this baby.
Me, my partner and daughter all want another little girl and I know we'll all be disappointed if it's not. Has anyone else had this and managed to shake the feeling?

We've got our scan on Thursday and I so desperatly want a boy. The anxiety of the gender disappointment is real. Can't say much about the shaking it or getting through it, but can definitely appreciate the thoughts and feelings you're going through! 💛

Boys are amazing and once the news settles I'm sure you will be just as happy.

I’m having my 3rd boy. Last baby. I grieved for 2 days for the girl o won’t have. That was at 16 weeks.

At 20 weeks we had a scare that something was wrong with babies heart. I cried as I felt so bad I was even upset about the gender.

You can’t help your emotions. Just go with them xx

I’m the same I really want a girl and I’m scared of being disappointed especially since I’m having a public gender reveal and I know I’m going to be surrounded by people. All old wives tales point towards a boy so I’m slowly bracing myself, I think no matter what, I of course just want a healthy baby but gender disappointment is real

I really wanted a girl and felt so guilty for feeling this way 🙈🥴 when I found out I’m having a boy I was initially sad but now I’m so over it and super excited to be a boy mum 🩵 Personally, I think what is meant to be will be for you! Boy or girl I’m sure they will be the perfect addition to your little fam. 💕
