The induction wait list..
In case anyone else is going through this… I was scheduled for induction Monday for 37 weeks because of hypertension. It is Wednesday. Still haven’t been called in. Called last night for an update and they said I’m second on the list and every single bed at the hospital was full. I have already stopped working so I have literally no distraction from this and I’m losing ittt.
I know that moms in active labor and with emergencies have to be prioritized first, of course! But damn every night when I don’t get the call I feel so crushed and frustrated… hypertension has me feeling SO unwell in so many ways and this was my light at the end of the tunnel - that and I finally get to meet my little guy🥺. The light at the end of the tunnel keeps running away from meeee.
Curious about wait times for other people with medically necessary inductions. They always say that medical inductions are “top of the list” over elective so I was hoping that meant a wait that wasn’t too crazy…🫠

That's so frustrating!! I'm not on the wait-list, but can empathize with terrible discomfort. My hip is absolutely killing me and I just really hope it's better before I go into labor and make it even worse. One weekend I could barely walk, then it eased up into just annoying soreness and now it's back to trouble walking or moving around at all. Actually starting to think I'm in early labor, but really need my MIL here to watch other kiddos first which is planned until this weekend 😬
My midwife requested my induction Monday morning and I was induced yesterday at 9am. Little guy came at 2am today.
I get your frustration! I’m 38+5 and on the induction waitlist as well 😩and they’re telling me if there isn’t an appt available by my 40w mark, I’ll have to wait all the way until I’m 41w to have a “medically necessary” induction scheduled. Sucks honestly. My back and ankles are working against me, I’m retaining fluid in my legs, and at this point I just want her OUT!
