You can’t have a bath for a few more weeks, this is what I’ve been advised as I also had a c section on the 17th March.
They literally didn’t tell me anything 🤣🥲 thank you! I was in the bath all the time pregnant, so I’m dyingggg for one 🤣

That’s annoying, it’s only to prevent the wound from being full submerged into water and soap, give yourself another 3-4 weeks and you should be ok for a bath x

You’re also brave, mines were only 2 days after yours and I still find them painful when I sit down. How are you coping with them?
I’m still sore to some extent, but a lot better than I was. Most of my soreness is now because my stomach is still hanging over slightly so it’s irritating on my scar. I was taking paracetamol every 4 hours, but tbh I’m up and about, tidying and going out. I found the best thing was to stay active, within reason. I also sit up in bed at night to sleep because I found I struggled more having to try and sit myself up when baby wakes. The mornings were always worse for me, but stay on top of paracetamol love! Happy to message you if you have any questions or just a chat 🥰

I’m really active around the house which I find comforting as it doesn’t hurt when I’m
Up and about. I am taking paracetamol
Which is helping. Agreed my stomach covers my stitches a little which is why I feel the soarness. Did yours ever sting in certain areas?

You have to wake 6 weeks post c section for a bath, that’s what the doctors and midwives told me and to avoid any contact with soap of the scar just warm water and pat dry xx
Yes! Mainly the sides x
Thank you!! X

I had a C-section on 11th march and asked my midwife Saturday and she said as soon as I was able to get in and out of the bath I could - I’m not 15 days post c section and I’ve had 3 baths xxx
It’s so interesting that everybody’s midwives / doctors are saying different! I’ve got health visitor coming tomorrow so will see what she says, but I think I’d be comfortable getting in and out! My friend also had baths after her c-section and had no problems x

I'm 23 days pp , I've been fine been up walking around since the day after, nurses were shocked as I didn't have any pain relief after a day . She kept saying do you need pain relief as you haven't had any for 12 hours 🙈. Ive been out almost every day with her . I also can wait for a bath but still have a few stitches still to come out

I had my c section on 4th March and no one has told me when I can have a bath and I'm dying for one. I think it's as soon as the wound isn't open anymore but I'm not sure

I'm having one tonight I also had my c section on the 4th. I've only got one stitch left in otherwise all healed x

@Melanie oh interesting. I just had tape on mine and glue and no actual stitches and it's all closed so maybe I'm good to have s bath

I had stitches and the new dressing which vibrates and keep on for 7 days x
