Stopping formula

Hey all, my LO is almost 2 and a half and he is still drinking 4 ounces of formula 3-4 times a day alongside 3 meals and snacks. I want to stop the formula now. I don't think he needs it at all and I want to move on from bottles. Any suggestions how to do it???

Try full fat milk in a Tommee Tippee beaker

Move on to your choice of Milk, we did this at the age of one per national guidance. You can also buy a next step sippy cup, or just use the cup he uses for water/juice in the day

We’re still using bottles just a small one in the morning and before bed of full fat milk, I do need to change from bottles to cups my sil suggested a Tesco one with 2 handles still has a spout of sorts I think I’ve just not had time to investigate yet. During the day if she has milk it’s in an open cup

Move to cows milk x

We switched to whole milk around 2 years and she took to it super well, we'd tried around 1 but she didn't like it. I also bought some sippy cup type bottles which she also loved, I think she could drink her milk much faster through them. Sometimes she asks for milk outside of the normal times and she drinks from a cup with a reusable straw, lots of fun blowing bubbles and even faster drinking.

We found as soon as we stopped it being in a bottle he lost interest in milk completely 💁🏻‍♀️ we began with weaning it down to just one bottle in the morning one at night, then took away morning then eventually the evening bottle before bed, (he never liked cows milk on its own in a beaker or a bottle) he’s more then happy without it he is so in love with yogurt and cheese and cereal with a small amount of milk, I am not too concerned with calcium intake 🙂
