I’m anxious

I’m so anxious, my daughter is 6 and a half months old and is not yet rolling over from front to back or back to front, when she’s on her tummy she just tries to pull her knees up underneath herself…. Should I be worried about her not rolling?

My little one is 7 months tomorrow and only started rolling tummy to back 2 weeks ago. She doesn’t roll back to tummy still. What I did was I gently pushed her head to one side whilst she was on her tummy to show her she can transfer her weight from one side and to the other. She hated it at first but a few days later she was doing it herself and rolled tummy to back. Since she learned to roll tummy to back it’s like a flip switched and she doesn’t pull her knees up underneath herself anymore, and will actually tolerate being on her tummy as she knows she can get out of it. They all do things at their own pace. Just try and practice rolling with her and do as much tummy time as you can. I put something on YouTube on my phone and prop it up in front of her, but you can use anything she’s really interested in to try and keep her going with it. She’s no interest in rolling back to tummy as she still doesn’t care for tummy time so I think it’ll be a while still before she does that 🤣

Yes definitely try rolling exercises if you do it for a couple of minutes every day she’ll get it. Roll her from back to forth and vice versa. My LO was constantly getting stuck because his arm was in the way but once i showed him he just had to straighten his arm he got it. There’s also lots of YouTube videos with helpful tips on how to get them to roll to

Every baby is different, some roll, some don't, some crawl, some don't, some sit up then go straight to standing, others bum shuffle, i haven't met a 2/3 year old yet who can't walk/stand unless they have a severe medical reason so don't fret. Your baby will do things their own way xx
