Advice on stomach issues

my daughter is 7 weeks old and she’s all of a sudden getting really unsettled with her stomach over the past few days she struggles to poo anyway as she rarely fills her nappy it’s only ever wee but she did a really watery poo this morning which was a lot and she’s still crying a lot more today than usual and refuses to sit up or not be lay straight… has anyone else experienced this?

are you breastfeeding? is there any way she could have a bug? it’s normal for them to not go as often when breastfeeding my daughter had stomach issues as a baby, is there any chance she could have cmpa? my baby once we started solids we found out she was allergic to milk (breastfeeding) and she’s now been prescribed a laxative as she’s struggling with really bad constipation. there’s lots of things to consider id probably say worth going to gp i hope she gets better soon!

she was breastfed for the first 4 weeks which she was like that then but she’s been on dairy free formula since as the gp prescribed her it but she’s pretty much stayed the same with pooing throughout i’m due to go doctors with her for a follow up on monday so im going to mention it then but it’s one of those where we can’t just ask them what’s wrong can we so it’s so hard at the min xx

Can you ask the health visitor for some advice

it is hard definitely your gp should assess her by feeling her stomach and if they can’t tell what’s wrong they may refer her to someone more specialised but again it may be a bug since it’s so watery i doubt it’s constipation x

yeah i hope so, thank you!

She could be lactose intolerant, reflux or not suiting the milk! Get them to do an allergy test if so get goat milk.

Try and also get lactose for her conspetion if she is

Leaky nappy help

What nappies are you using to stop leaks?? We use pampers ultra dry size 5, and for the past few nights he has lashed through and we’ve had to completely change him during the night. Last night he leashed through twice!! He sleeps on his front and stays leaks through at the top of his leg where the tabs connect. Didn’t know whether to size up, he has a bit of a belly on him but he’s smack in middle of weight guidance so shouldn’t need too

New born

Finally had my baby girl via C-section on the 18th, everything has been so far. But I’ve noticed she’s very fussy and cries a lot. I’ve been trying to exclusively breastfeed. The lactation consultant at the hospital said I did look like I’m making enough milk for her. She was latching on good at the hospital and now here at home, she doesn’t seem to want to latch at all. She’s been crying a lot and very fussy. I’m just wondering is she’s colic or like maybe she just doesn’t want the breast anymore?

5.30am wakeups 😫😴

My 15 week old has started waking up about 5.30am and is really hard to settle back down - it’s like he thinks it’s time to wake up for the day. He used to go to bed at 9pm and was up at 8am but now he goes to bed between 7.30-8pm as he’s knackered by then but waking up at 5.30am😴. Any advice to get him to sleep a little longer in the morning?! Even an extra hour would be lovely 🤣
