Baby dribbling out water when drinking

My boy has been exclusively bottle fed breastmilk since birth and has never had a problem drinking from a bottle. We have been trying to get him to drink water at mealtimes from sipoy cups, straw cups, open cups (we've tried about 8 brands) but everytime, he tries to swallow but loads of water comes dribbling out of his mouth. Has anyone else had this? I don't think its behavioural, he just seems to be struggling with it. Anyone else helped their child through this and has tips??

It's very normal when they're learning to drink from something new, it takes some time for them to realise the correct amount to drink and then when they master that they think it's funny to blow raspberries with a mouth full of water.

Sometimes if he has had enough water he will spit it out. He could be getting enough! I always take the cup away from my boy otherwise he just gets drenched 😂 often that means he's finished anyways z
