Have to say, I only stand up to change my baby - we have a dedicated table downstairs and a changing table in his room. Was the same with my first right until she potty trained. So we’ve had plenty of use out of our changing tables. I hate bending over and changing on the floor when we’re at friends 😂 But to answer your question… the wedge mats are meant to be good for putting on tables I think.
I still use my changing station now for my 2 year old, as I’m pregnant and can’t bend. Also was amazing for after my section, best thing I’ve ever got. I just get a new mat every now and then from Aldi x
@Elena literally same! My lo is almost 8 months and I’ve never even used it😂what a waste😂
I just have a normal mat on my chest of drawers. It's never slipped anywhere at all. Not once. Tbh. I barely use even that. You'll change baby ANYWHERE. Sofa, floor, bed, chest of drawers, anywhere. I use it first thing sometimes or after a bath but that's it.
I was just planning to use a changing mat on my ikea chest of drawers and stick it down with double sided Velcro 😂 Then can take it off to clean haha 😂haven’t tried it yet though as mines still cooking x
Thank you ladies Mines still cooking too 😊 But I suffer with bad back and am more than likely having a c section so want to have a standing position but thank you so much for all your help
I've only ever changed my baby on the changing table, so for us it was invaluable! IKEA do a changing mat that's wedged shaped. But you can get any type , you won't be able to get a frame as they're not universal. They're also not needed because you'll never be leaving them unattended so don't need anything to hold the changing mat on
I got a changing wedge so the sides go up slightly to stop them from rolling, then stuck in down on top of our ikea unit :)
Thank you 😊 think I was overthinking the whole process haha first time mum can you tell 🤣🙈 thank you ladies curved mat it is
You can just get a changing mat from Asda or anywhere for very cheap and probably still won’t use it much.
