8th grade dance

If your that involves i feel like you should've at least gotten an invitation. As for my situation, since they live complete opposite side of America then us it's a bit harder for me. I'm there when they are with me but other than that I don't go outta of my way just f cause its too much and stresses/pisses me off (BM and I don't have good relationship) we have 30/70 custody so we only get them every other year for holidays and summer break.

I think you need to step back. There will be more dances and more dresses. Let the first few go to mom. It's hard having only sons of your own, but that's just the luck of it. 😕

Ehhh if I’m not invited I don’t want to pay unless it was prearranged. I’m 100% okay with bio mom having special 1sts. No issue what so ever, that’s her daughter. But don’t send me a bill if I’m not included. That’s just my opinion. Typically we pay for everything when sd is with us. They pay for everything when sd is with them. Only shared things are like holidays and birthdays. Like we bought her costume even though she was with them on Halloween because we took her shopping for it. We split birthday decor, etc

Just an update. Her mom texted us this morning (the dance is Saturday) and is asking for us to pay half for shoes, jewelry, makeup? And highlights. She quoted us around 100-150 (300-350 our total half) . First of is it crazy spending almost 700 on a 8 grade dance. Second we are spending all this money and the only involvement we are going to have is seeing her for a quick picture

for a 8th grade dance? Absolutely crazy. I wouldn't spend that much. Maybe for homecoming or prom but not for an 8th grade dance. 🙃
