Health visitor rant

Genuine question how do you all go about getting a health visitor appointment to check your child
A development. Because I have been messaging for an hour and for some reason they won't book the appointment.

They just keep sending leaflets over it's very patronising.

Hold old is your child? The health visitor checks are scheduled at various ages, it’s not as and when you want them. I would find the number for the main hub and ring if you do have any major concerns, or take your child to their GP.

It may be that they want you to go to GP, is there specific concerns or just general reassurance?

It's just not the first time i have asked all these questions with the health visitor it's starting to be come a pain. Nursery suggested it as he is on a plan there.

Maybe worth going to GP if wanting support outside of normal review times. Or if nursery asking they should be making a referral to another service for support

Help! First time mum -

I have a 4 month old and now all of a sudden when he’s been asleep for 1hr30/2hrs he will wake up screaming (high pitched) I’ve tried winding him sometimes that helps, I’ve tried bicycle legs & bringing his knees up but that doesn’t seem to help but he brings his knees up himself sometimes but nothing happens. I’ve noticed since the 4 month mark he has started to struggle passing wind downwards! Any tips?

Bath Time

Help! My baby is 3 and a half weeks old. Every bath she goes in quite happy but will only stay like this for a very few mins, if I try to clean her or move her we have tears and after a few mins the same. It's like she is scared. Our current baby bath is quite big should I try a different one? Looking for any suggestions as want her to enjoy bath time not be upset and I'm scared I'm going to make her hate it😢💗

Don’t want to leave my first born😭😭😭

Anyone else extremely sad and anxious to leave their first born😭

He’s 2 and we have never not put him to bed or be here for when he wakes up😭

Crying during feeding

Hey mams! My girl is 6 weeks on Monday and is having so much trouble with feeding. It doesn’t happen every feed but more often than not she will start a bottle and just start crying as if she’s in pain and she can’t take the milk. I think it’s trapped wind but I genuinely don’t know what to do it’s so pitiful to see her not be able to feed! She’s formula fed and on HiPP Organic.
Anyone else been in this position? I’m pretty sure it’s just a bit of trapped wind that she needs to fart out but can’t! If anyone has any advice I’d be very grateful as I think I may need to tape my eyelids open soon 😂

Sleeping

Hi all!
I need some advice my son is 5 months on Tuesday at what age do they sleep in their cot? As he’s still in his bassinet in our bedroom any advice would be fab thank you🫶🏼🫶🏼

No more naps! 10 month old

For a few days now my 10m old has fought her 2 daily naps. Normally her wake windows were 3-4 hours and she is now eventually napping after a 6 hour wake window. Today was only one nap, she skipped the second one. Used to nap like clockwork so I’m wondering if anyone else is experiencing this? Also very unsettled most nights and doesn’t sleep well at all
