Cmpa?

Sorry for the picture but I just want peoples opinion. My little boy is 7 weeks old, he’s defo a bit of a colicky baby, but he doesn’t cry all day every day, he can sometimes be fussy during and after a bottle but the dr thinks he has reflux. He does sometimes spit up, very occasionally vomits/projectile. He’s quite wheezy after a bottle but that’s been put down to the reflux. He’s very gassy, and sometimes looks like he is quite uncomfortable with gas. He’s poos once a day like clock work and is formula fed. His poo is always yellow brown and is runny. It doesn’t look like it has mucus in it, I don’t think. He doesn’t have a rash apart from a bit of baby acne round his neck. I know he doesn’t have many of symptoms of CMPA but I just wanted peoples opinions. I’m a little bit of a worry wart so I don’t know if I’m making a mountain out of a mole hill.

It looks to me like it's mucousy, but of course you're the only one seeing it in person! The best way to test is to fold the nappy in and pull it apart, if it strings together that's the mucous. Reflux is a symptom and not a diagnoses, theres reasons for the reflux more often than not and sometimes it can be an intolerance to cows milk protein or a full blown allergy.

I think at first, they will go down the reflux pathway but I do know that if Gaviscon or an anti-reflux formula doesn't help, they will then move on to the CMPA pathway anyway, so I'd push for it definitely! You know your little one so you definitely aren't making a mountain out of a mole hill.

yeah the poo did string together a bit I think? It does look a bit stringy now thinking about it. Maybe I’ll check it again tomorrow.

He has already been given baby gaviscon. And it’s not done much to be honest and I was also worried about making him constipated so I haven’t been giving it to him regularly but when I have it’s done nothing.

When I’ve bought it up before they just said he hasn’t got a rash so we don’t think it is an allergy or intolerance. It’s odd Becuase he does still drink his bottles. He’s just very fussy sometimes when drinking them but again it’s not all the time.

It makes me feel like I’m going crazy sometimes and overreacting, but I can’t tell he’s not comfortable and people always says it’s normal baby stuff, but how can it be normal for a baby to be uncomfortable! I get they might struggle with certain aspects of digestion when they are so little, but I don’t think it’s normal for him to be uncomfortable!

Help! First time mum -

I have a 4 month old and now all of a sudden when he’s been asleep for 1hr30/2hrs he will wake up screaming (high pitched) I’ve tried winding him sometimes that helps, I’ve tried bicycle legs & bringing his knees up but that doesn’t seem to help but he brings his knees up himself sometimes but nothing happens. I’ve noticed since the 4 month mark he has started to struggle passing wind downwards! Any tips?

Every bath she goes in quite happy but will only stay like this for a very few mins, if I try to clean her or move her we have tears and after a few mins the same. It's like she is scared. Our current baby bath is quite big should I try a different one? Looking for any suggestions as want her to enjoy bath time not be upset and I'm scared I'm going to make her hate it😢💗

Crying during feeding

Hey mams! My girl is 6 weeks on Monday and is having so much trouble with feeding. It doesn’t happen every feed but more often than not she will start a bottle and just start crying as if she’s in pain and she can’t take the milk. I think it’s trapped wind but I genuinely don’t know what to do it’s so pitiful to see her not be able to feed! She’s formula fed and on HiPP Organic.
Anyone else been in this position? I’m pretty sure it’s just a bit of trapped wind that she needs to fart out but can’t! If anyone has any advice I’d be very grateful as I think I may need to tape my eyelids open soon 😂

No more naps! 10 month old

For a few days now my 10m old has fought her 2 daily naps. Normally her wake windows were 3-4 hours and she is now eventually napping after a 6 hour wake window. Today was only one nap, she skipped the second one. Used to nap like clockwork so I’m wondering if anyone else is experiencing this? Also very unsettled most nights and doesn’t sleep well at all
