Newborns and car seats

Anyone else struggle to get your newborns seated in the car seat comfortably?? I’ve got the maxi cosi pebble 360 car seat with the newborn insert but it doesn’t support my LO properly. I have to hold her head/neck for the drives

If you upload a pic of her in her seat they'll be able to tell you how to adjust it to suit her. Or which seat might be a better fit.

I really struggled with this. We just had the car seat from our travel system and the anxiety it gave me was horrendous. We ended up getting the Maxi-Cosi pebble pro so he can lay flat and it’s so much better

We changed from this exact seat as we had it for our eldest and for quite a while his head would flop to one side or the other as it didn’t have enough head support.
Funnily enough it went mouldy in my husband’s car (due to it also not being washable!), so for our 2nd we’ve got a different seat.

We’ve now got an Avionaut pixel pro which I have no complaints about really! Everything is washable and it’s got amazing support so feels super safe for a newborn

thank you! I’m still waiting to be approved lol but hopefully they can advise me once I’ve been accepted x

we bought it so long ago so I’m not sure we will be able to exchange it🫠 and I really don’t want spend more money but I have got my eye on the pebble pro!

oh goodness me! For a while I did think I was putting in my LO wrong but I did everything by the book.
I’ll have a look at the Avionaut pixel pro. Is it compatible with the same iso fix base?

Avatar

Definitely not just you! It’s a commonly known issue with that seat unfortunately.

Unfortunately each isofix base is specific to only one/a small number of seats.
You may find your isofix base is compatible with the pebble pro lie flat seat which I believe is supposed to have better head support but other than that you’d have to buy a different base for a different seat brand unfortunately 😓 xx

Help! First time mum -

I have a 4 month old and now all of a sudden when he’s been asleep for 1hr30/2hrs he will wake up screaming (high pitched) I’ve tried winding him sometimes that helps, I’ve tried bicycle legs & bringing his knees up but that doesn’t seem to help but he brings his knees up himself sometimes but nothing happens. I’ve noticed since the 4 month mark he has started to struggle passing wind downwards! Any tips?

Help! My baby is 3 and a half weeks old. Every bath she goes in quite happy but will only stay like this for a very few mins, if I try to clean her or move her we have tears and after a few mins the same. It's like she is scared. Our current baby bath is quite big should I try a different one? Looking for any suggestions as want her to enjoy bath time not be upset and I'm scared I'm going to make her hate it😢💗

Crying during feeding

Hey mams! My girl is 6 weeks on Monday and is having so much trouble with feeding. It doesn’t happen every feed but more often than not she will start a bottle and just start crying as if she’s in pain and she can’t take the milk. I think it’s trapped wind but I genuinely don’t know what to do it’s so pitiful to see her not be able to feed! She’s formula fed and on HiPP Organic.
Anyone else been in this position? I’m pretty sure it’s just a bit of trapped wind that she needs to fart out but can’t! If anyone has any advice I’d be very grateful as I think I may need to tape my eyelids open soon 😂

No more naps! 10 month old

For a few days now my 10m old has fought her 2 daily naps. Normally her wake windows were 3-4 hours and she is now eventually napping after a 6 hour wake window. Today was only one nap, she skipped the second one. Used to nap like clockwork so I’m wondering if anyone else is experiencing this? Also very unsettled most nights and doesn’t sleep well at all
