2nd baby

I’m currently pregnant, due 10th June. I think it’ll be a lovely having a close age gap. They’ll be able to enjoy things together much longer like playing same toys/ soft plays and parks/shows etc. my sister and I have a 2year 5 month age gap and we have always been so very close and played a lot together growing up and now have the same close bunch of friends too so still doing a lot of things together ❤️

Only got those comments from people I didn’t know well, people closest to me knew I wanted another and close in age and makes sense to them my reasons too, and are excited for me x

I’m expecting my 2nd in July and my 1st born will be 2 in August xx

We had our Aug 23 baby and then a Sept 24 baby so you can imagine the comments! People are just stupid tbh, it’s the absolute best thing we’ve ever done. Yes it’s super hard but no matter how many you have you’re going to find it super hard.

Our second child slotted in to his sisters routine extremely well so they go to bed the same time, wake the same time etc. We’re just now starting weaning so getting him on her meal times too so there’s much less time for procrastination and hesitation as you’ve done it once and have your routines so it’s a LOT easier!

Both of our have different temperaments too, the first was a fussy feeder, terrible sleeper, very clingy but the second the complete opposite!! You’ll be absolutely fine and honestly there’s nothing better you can do for your first than give them a sibling! Congratulations ❤️

I will be having the exact same age gap as you and I have been going through the exact same thing!!! I think it’s a perfect age gap and they will be besties!!

Congratulations!!! Currently pregnant with number 2, my son will be 2 on 17th August and baby number 2 due 29th August! We were worried at first but now think it's going to be amazing x

So my first is 19 months and my second is 3 months, so a 16 month gap. Both boys too. I know it’ll be worth it in the long run but it’s bloody hard. When both are needing me and screaming at me I just sometimes cry too 😂🫠 but I take it one day at a time and just think how beautiful their relationship is going to be and seeing it form now is so sweet.. most the time 😂😂

Don’t get me wrong we’re still in the early stages but our little girl has slotted in perfectly. I was an anxious first time mom and I don’t think you get that luxury second time around with your next baby so we’ve just been going with the flow. Some days are easier than others but you’ll be amazed how quick you get into a new routine.
For me, I’m so glad I’m doing this hard work now together. I’m still in the thick of nappies and not brilliant sleep, I think I would struggle to come out of that and then start it all again.
Also my little boy is obsessed with his sister, the bond they will have will make all the tough days worthwhile! Best of luck and give yourself some grace! 🫶🏼

I have 19 months and 6 week old, it was tough first few days and it can be when they both cry as I’m juggling both but generally I love it x
