Refusing the bottle

My boy is 7 months and is EBF. He has taken the bottle before with no issues whether that was breast milk or formula - that was when he was around 5 months and ever since I’ve been trying to do 1-2 bottles of formula a day. Now he suddenly won’t take the bottle. He has a sip, pulls a face and refuses it. Anyone else facing the same issue? I’m thinking if I should change to another formula? Using aptamil at the moment.

It’s not the formula, it’s the bottle - my baby does the same. One day she’ll take it and the next she’ll refuse. I think it’s quite common with breastfed babies because they just prefer the boob, unfortunately no one tells us this at the start of BF 🥲

@MegIt’s difficult isn’t it! I want to get him on the bottle and only breastfeed in the morning and at night but it feels like I’m never going to get there at this rate! What did you end up doing? I’m using MAM colic bottles at the moment. Which bottles are you using? Sorry for the questions!

@Linda I’ve tried about 5 different brands of bottles. We use mam too and nuk perfect match - she’ll take either but it’s not consistent. We are still essentially exclusively breastfeeding, not sure if the end is in sight 😅
