Hi All!
My 11 week old has been having the worst time with gas for about a week. She is ebf and I haven’t made any changes to my diet. She was gassy initially but got better in the middle.
We use gas relief drops and probiotics to help her. But she just grunts in pain at night.
Is anyone going through this right now?

Have you tried gripe water? My baby grunts in the nighttime too. I saw a post on here the other day and it seems lots of other babies do the same
Thing! He doesn’t do it in the day time, just at night x

Could your little one have colic?

My son had allergy to cow milk . So i had to stop all diary .. give her massage, bicycle.. try to always burps after feeding.. and well what can say… it will past i promise..

We went through this around 10 weeks and you may already be doing it but it was recommended to me to use gas drops after each feed (or as often as is safe to based on the instructions) because I was only using them when I felt he needed them. We saw a big difference when we started using them more consistently!

You could also explore some body work like chiropractic care to see if she has some tightness that is causing the gas to get stuck.

I have a super gassy baby!
I was breast feeding and it made it worst, so we swapped to gentle ease formula and it helped a lot (not trying to sway). But even with the formula, she’ll get these AWFUL gas bubbles and will scream her head off until it’s released. Wee talked to a pediatrician and they essentially said the only way through is through, which doesn’t really make me feel better 😅
We do lots of bicycle kicks, hip rotations, frequent burping (even while not feeding), tummy compressions while holding, etc.
Honestly, the best way, and her favorite thing, is a warm bath. It relaxes her tummy, and her kicking the water releases it. I feel like the best thing to do is to get them to relax their bodies, but it makes them go psycho 🥴🥴

yes. I am trying that now. Thanks!

thanks! How was breastfeeding making it worse?

thanks so much

Diet related probably
Maybe also too much lactose in my milk. If I ate Mexican, no one was sleeping for days 😂😂
I chose my battles, but she’s a happy chunk girl

yeah, my little one went through a similar phase and it was rough, hang in there!
here's what the 'Heal Baby Care App' says....
"It sounds really tough to see your little one in discomfort. Gas issues can be common in infants, especially around this age. Since you're already using gas relief drops and probiotics, you might also consider gentle tummy massages or bicycle leg movements to help relieve gas.
Have you noticed if certain times of day are worse for her gas, or any specific foods in your diet that might be affecting her?

How is going??
