I second buying this book! It totally opened my eyes to the different options for birth and is so easy to read (and pretty funny!). I got mine second hand from eBay for about £3

@Anelle yes it’s great! I’m due my second soon and have read it again. It’s honest but empowering, such a good read. I buy it for friends as a pre baby present!
I had an idea of what I wanted, peaceful, music etc, but I was open to all pain relief, as you don't really know until you are in the moment
I’m pregnant with my first and have just Researched the difference choices available, including at which facility (Hospital, Birth Centre etc) the pros and cons of each and though about what I’d prefer but have put myself in a mindset that I’m okay with any changes should they need to happen in an emergency situation etc x
Buy the positive birthing book on Amazon. It’s gives you all the options. It’s comes down to environment and drugs tbh
